Lifeforce biomarkers for hormones and women's health
As a registered dietitian and women’s hormone health expert, I’m always looking for ways to stay proactive about health — both for myself and the women in my community. For the last four months, I’ve been using
LifeForce, a personalized health optimization service, and it has truly exceeded my expectations.

Optimizing Health with Lifeforce

Lifeforce is a cutting-edge health optimization membership designed to help you take control of your wellness by offering personalized, science-backed insights through comprehensive lab testing. It’s their mission to empower individuals to be proactive about their health by combining diagnostics, doctors, coaches, and science-backed longevity therapies.

They test 50+ biomarkers including hormone levels, nutrient deficiencies and inflammation and blood sugar metabolism. From there Lifeforce becomes your accountability partner, giving you expert support from practitioners and nutritionists. You get a personalized roadmap to optimal health, helping you feel your best at every stage of life. In my opinion, it’s truly an invaluable part of prioritizing optimal health and longevity.

I’ve done a lot of biomarker testing and Lifeforce is elite. Here’s what I believe sets them apart along with my experience with them over the past four months.

Seamless Testing at Home

When I first joined Lifeforce, I was immediately impressed by the ease of their testing process. You have the option to have a phlebotomist come directly to the comfort of your own home to draw blood — no need to rearrange your schedule for a lab visit. Of course, I chose this option! I was able to set the appointment for 5am and by 5:15 was free to go about my day. This level of convenience is perfect for busy moms like me or really anyone who doesn’t want to hassle rearranging their schedule or waiting in line.

Comprehensive Biomarkers for a Proactive Approach

What I love most about Lifeforce is their wide range of testing. This goes beyond what you’d typically see with standard labs. Even if you don’t have any known health issues, it’s a cost-effective and proactive way to take control of your wellness. It’s about gaining a baseline understanding of your health now, so you can monitor any changes over time.

Lifeforce offers over 50+ biomarkers, some of which include:

    • Hormone markers: Estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and DHEA levels, which are essential for women navigating hormone imbalances, whether it’s postpartum, perimenopause, or coming off birth control.
    • Thyroid health: TSH  and free T4 provide a deeper understanding of how your thyroid is functioning, impacting your energy, metabolism, and mood.
    • C-reactive protein (CRP): This inflammation marker helps you gauge how well your body is handling stress and inflammation, which can be a silent contributor to chronic issues like fatigue, brain fog, and hormonal imbalance.
    • Lipid Profile: This includes cholesterol and triglycerides to monitor cardiovascular health and liver function..
    • Liver and Kidney Function: ALT, AST, bilirubin, and creatinine to assess detoxification pathways and kidney health.
    • Vitamin levels: Checking for vitamin D, sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium and ferritin (iron), so you can address any deficiencies before they lead to more significant symptoms.
    • Liver and Kidney Function: AST and ALT can reveal how well your liver is detoxifying, which is especially important for hormone regulation and clearing excess estrogen from the body. Creatinine and Bilirubin is an indication of kidney health.
Blood sugar metabolism: Tests like fasting glucose, insulin, Glycomark and HbA1c to assess blood sugar regulation and insulin sensitivity.
    • Heavy metals and toxins: A deeper dive into what’s going on internally, this test can help uncover hidden factors that might be impacting your health, from fatigue to poor detoxification.

Many of these markers are often not tested by your primary care Doctor unless you already have a diagnosed issue, but that’s exactly why I value Lifeforce so much. It allows you to keep tabs on your health long before symptoms appear. Even if you feel well now, establishing a comprehensive baseline with Lifeforce can reveal subtle imbalances that might otherwise be missed.

Personalized Support and Actionable Insights

After your results are in, Lifeforce provides you with an in-depth consultation with a clinician. This isn’t your average “quick check-in” — they go through your results in detail, explaining what each marker means for your health. You aren’t left with trying to interpret the data yourself. I felt genuinely supported and empowered after my call, knowing exactly where I needed to focus.

And it doesn’t stop there. You also get your own Lifeforce Health Coach that is there to support you along the way in your Lifeforce journey. My Lifeforce Health Coach is wonderful and provides me with motivation, support and resources to help me stick to the plan my Lifeforce Clinician created for me. This personalized approach is what sets Lifeforce apart. Whether you’re optimizing your hormone health, balancing blood sugar, or improving nutrient status, having a clinician and health coach working with you makes all the difference.

Retesting and Ongoing Monitoring

After three months, Lifeforce offers the option to retest your biomarkers, which I highly recommend. Not only can you track your progress if you’re working on specific goals, but since they’ve expanded their testing to include additional labs can always add these on too. These new markers are especially useful if you’re focused on optimizing your blood sugar, energy, and detox pathways.
