This is my list of top everyday superfoods. The idea came from the October addition of Clean Eating Magazine and their article, The 20 Most Powerful Superfoods of the Moment. This article is awesome! It narrows in on just 20 superfoods that will help maximize your nutrient intake while incorporating them into deliciously mouthwatering meals.
Clean Eating picked their superfoods based on “the most up-to-date research, ORAC values (a measurement of antioxidants in foods) and surveyed a panel of nutrition experts”. Another thing I liked was that the list consisted of readily available foods. Not highly expensive food or ones shipped from across the world!
After reading this article I decided to make my own Superfood list. It is more-or-less the same list from Clean Eating Magazine, but I did subtract a few and add in a couple of my favorites. All the foods on my list are still packed with all the health-promoting benefits and can be easy incorporated into an endless array of dishes.
Here is my everyday superfood list plus numerous recipes from some of my favorite blogs that have incorporated these nutritious foods into simple and nutritious meals and snacks. My goal is to continually update the links as I incorporate these power-foods into recipes for the blog. So get excited more is to come.
